AROMA Coffee House

(Bridgend Town Centre)

Situated on the top end of Caroline St. Bridgend, the seating outside offers a slightly elevated perspective of the shopping street. The sun shines on us all day during the summer, and this makes the seating an excellent venue to while away the time over an expertly made Cappuccino or Latte. Covering the walls inside the coffee shop are examples from local artists who regularly show their work, and who also meet inside to discuss arty things.

The coffee shop has become an excellent place to meet friends, and to sit and talk over a tea or coffee. The staff have got to know nearly all the customers by name, and are always pleased to greet them when they call by for their daily coffee.

Morning: Toast and jam/marmalade with a cappuccino is a favourite although the Marmalade tea-cake is a very close second for a lot of customers.

Mid-morning: Coffee and a chat with friends, perhaps a meeting over a lap-top and a latte, or just read the morning papers with a large cappuccino or an americano and cream.

Lunchtime: The lunchtime rush is always busy and starts about 12noon. Now is the time to be 'on-the-ball' because customers expect to be served and on their way very quickly. The team can produce the goods and complaints are very few, it's very challenging but also rewarding when everybody is served and happy. It usually takes about 2hrs for the rush to clear, and then it's time for afternoon cakes and desserts.

Afternoon: A bit more leisurely when customers, who can decide when to visit, will start drifting in because they know the lunch-rush is over. It's all about desserts in the afternoon, when lots of women shoppers take the weight of their feet and relax with a latte and perhaps a slice of summer-fruits baked cheesecake. Mmmmm!

Our hot and cold menu continues till 5.00pm,so an afternoon snack is always a possibilty, as there is no need to rush in the welcoming environment of the coffee shop.
